Default Installed CLB kit yesterday :-)

Hi!
Installed the CLB kit yesterday and everything is working perfect, no messages in the DIC I have not had any problems with the column lock, just wanted to be ahead of it, so i dont get stranded in the middle of nowhere Thanks to Southern car parts (even if the shipping rates to Norway is way to high), jmx`s how to, and many thanks to the mastermind of column lock, Chuck (8VETTE7) for helping and answering all my questions

Frank

I, for one, am so glad that someone is proactive! I read almost every week of someone that has ignored this issue, until they are stranded.

It's nice to have that worry out of the way. IMO, best $50 or so you can spend on a manual equipped car.

CLB= Column Lock Bypass,,to bypass all the current or certain future problem with the retarded problems you will have with your steering column and fuel cut off if you have had factory recall fixes!! Mine had the fixes before I bought it,,BOUGHT a CLB,,but being new to C5's figured "NO RUSH"!! HA HA on me,,got bit when the factories "K harness" failed and was stranded by the fuel cut off! To Norwegian-Vette Good for you,,smart man!! By the way your english is great,,,I couldn't even attempt your language,,or any other for that matter!! Have to give you

I did mine a week ago or so before I had a problem....thank
God I read about it here first! I would have been so pissed to find out after. My VIS report said they did reprogram it ..still annoys me when I think about GM letting the proper fix fall on the consumer ..

Glad to hear it worked Frank

That was a really smart move. So many people start looking for a fix after the column is locked
