Hey guys, just got back from vacation and had my Switchback LED's waiting for me. Spent about 30 minutes installing them along with a new flasher relay and went to test them out. They worked perfectly except the running light is not as bright as the old orange bulbs I had in there. The switchbacks are 60 LED stalks running in clear corners. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
I agree with you CU. I installed the same hardware a couple of weeks ago.I think they look great, but the DRL's are not nearly as bright as I expected and are nowhere near as bright as stock bulbs.
jdmvette...the 60 led switchbacks can only go in one way and function properly.
hmmm...my switchbacks are very bright. did you try reversing them in the socket?
AUandAG's right, they only work one way.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

Thanks for the pic, that's about how bright my DRL's are. The running light are not quite as bright. I'll be sure to post some pics this evening for comparison.
When the switchbacks go to running lights it DOES seem that at some angles they seem a bit more dim. Of course that's only during day light hours without overcast. Could also be because of the lense with no bends in it to help spread the light more. Jason, you have the corners with the bends in the lense right? When should we expect new lighting mods btw Dad.
Think I need to upgrade to the 60 led tower. WOOT WOOT

An LED in a stock housing isn't going to produce a brighter light. The main purpose is for a better looking light. That's why we don't advertise them as brighter. We call them an enhancement. They also run cooler than stock which tends to burn through the DRLs.
Some think they are brighter and some don't.
Now they should be bright enough where you can see them.

That 60 bulb is from the non supporting vendor listed above.
Besides from a few DOAs (which we replace) my 60 version has been great. We use different types of bulbs than the other guys.

Hey Jhonathan_W good too see you're on the site, I just bought aftermarket corners that are clear and amber. I want the 60 LED bulb, which bulb do I get for the 194 size bulb from your site?
Okay...Here are photos I just took. These are the 60 LED switchbacks from Jhonathan in new clear (ribbed) corners w/amber sides. Don't misunderstand...I think they look great! But I wouldn't call them bright either. Actually, I think they look brighter in the photos than in person.
The last photo was taken inside the garage. All others are outdoors in full sun.
