Hmmm, so if I want mesh grille screens I should buy a Z06 and if I want a rear spoiler, I should buy a C5-R and if I want to add a turbo I should buy a rice burner? To each his own. I wouldn't do it, but the question was whether anyone has bought anything from that sight, not whether it is ok for him to modify his own Corvette.

I have audi type led corners, does it mean I should get an audi?
Lambo doors are on my list too man, don't let anyone make you feel bad about what YOU want to do with YOUR vette. I never understand why people get so uppity about what mods are "allowed". Who made them the official on what looks good or what is acceptable? Whoever pays the bills makes the rules. So unless you want to pay off someones vette, chill out and relax. I say if you got the money for the mod and it makes you happy, DO IT.
I haven't heard of lambodoors4u.com, doesn't mean they're not good, I just don't know. I've been looking a www.verticaldoors.com I'm sure you've heard of them. If not, check em out.

I used vertical doors inc and they are good, LSD seems a little better, I know some like gt factory. I do know this if they are too cheap then the metal could be an issue and you do get what you pay for. Not familiar with the site you mention, I go to over 15 shows a year and the crowds are bigger and bigger around my car and part of what they are looking at and how they attach are the lambo's . Mod away my friend , to the others , hey they can have an opinion too.
Im going to buy the lsd lambo door kit for the wifes car. You cant tell me that people dont look and think that is bad a** when the door opens............
Maybe I haven't been mingling enough with Vette crowd, but over at the import scene (spent 10 years there)............I never, ever ran into a quality lambo door retrofit. Never.
Fitment issues galore, eventually rattled, and/or epic failure. Anybody have any success stories (personal, not a friend of a friend who said they were wonderful).

When installing your doors do you have to take the front of the vette off? I was talking to one person about doing it to my Vette and he said that the whole front end has to come off the frame to do the doors. And when he puts it back together it won't be like factory setting it will be off a bit. I was wondering is this true or is this person just not the right person for the job?

It's not entirely true. You do have to take off the whole front clip and leave the inner fenders exposed. I have put on at least 30 lambo door kits, but all have been on Caprices and cars like that. I personally would not put on a kit for a customer with a Corvette because all of the kits are pretty weak IMO, so I do alot of welding reinforcement. Another tip if the guy has not done them alot is to tack weld the adjustment screws after he has lined everything up (they have a tendency to back out). Shock wise I have had some last 3yrs and still going strong and I have had some go out in a week. That means you will be paying that guy to disassemble your front end again to have the new ones installed. Hope this helps.
No you do not take the front end off, I have done 4 sets on corvettes and never came across anything close to that. All you need to do is remove head light covers, front fenders, cut inner lip alighn door. It takes about 4 hours to complete and another hour to tweak. Any one use a welder for any reason is going to do damage, there is nothing to weld or weld to unless you like melting things from cowl to wires to poly ureathane. you are not building a tank. lol rICHARD
