Was reading up on this stuff and herd it can help alot on keeping coolant temps down any body try and had a good outcome? and if its any good do you just add it into ur coolant tank or do you have to drain the coolant first? http://www.redlineoil.com/products_coolant.asp
It will have a noticable effect when added to straight water, coolant added cars with 160* thermostats and upgraded fans still won't see any difference.
It's not snake oil, because it does have a purpose under certain conditions, but you'd be better off buying $7 in lottery tickets.
I've used it for years with the regular coolant. One or two bottles depending on size of the cooling system. I usually just pour it into the overflow tank where it'll get circulated.
It's a surfactant. That basically means it makes water slippery. It aids in removing steam pockets/air bubbles. It doesn't lower temperatures as much as stabilize them. I'm in AZ where the summers can be well into triple digits.
