My wife's friend was talking smack about her fathers big Ford F350 diesel truck and how he told her many times he smoked Mustangs, and Corvettes. She said its a beast and was fast as hell. 
She is honestly dumb as a rock, and still lives at home at 40yrs old...

Anyways... I said to her maybe she would like to go for a cruise with me in my slow Corvette and maybe she could tell me how the acceleration compared to her fathers truck. She almost wet her pants she said. She kept saying *STOP*STOP*STOP*... 
She said to my wife that my car is insane...
I told her to ask her father next time he races a Corvette if the Corvette was even trying...

But, no way is a Boxster S a POS -- it's very sophisticated and has intuitive handling in a nice package -- and plenty fast enough to get you in trouble.

should be honored that your boss would talk cars with you.
You have the Corvette. OUR society has come to believe that
the Corvette is special. Is it as fast as a vette? Does it have
a vette engine? My car can run as fast as a vette. My car has
a vette engine.etc......You get the picture. Your boss talked
cars with you because he assumed you knew more because you
have a vette. He could argue with you because of your status.
Corvettes have that way on people. It's crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This thread is mainly about how some dumb a$$s who "think" they know about "carz", and that Corvette Forum guys are mainly rich people who have no cars' knowledge.
What Bothers me is that I am quite educated about cars... and when ever I have questions or need help about ANYTHING car related, someone on the Forum knows the answer. (I just put up a question, and in a few hrs I have tons of answers) I know we have some intense motor-heads here, and some professionals who probably know more about cars/Corvettes more than Road & Track guys.... After 5 years, and thousands of threads later - I can still say - I'm PROUD of the Corvette Forum !!!
