I really want to do exactly that to my black Coupe! Only difference is I want it to be one solid stripe - but same look as you have there! Is it expensive to have a stripe like that painted on? $$ wise, I may never have the $$ to do it, but one can HOPE to be able to do that one day! If you don't want to post price here.. could you PM me how you had that done and an estimate on what the cost was?

Thanks!

Yeah, I wanted something different too and thought about black stripes on my coupe. But, I've always like two tone cars, like back in the day (yes, I'm old!!) so found an old hot rod painter in town and had my halo bar and targa painted black. I also have the tinted lexan roof and you can't tell it's not painted too when it's on the car. My guy layed 5 coats of clear on then wet sanded it and buffed it out so it looks like highly polished black marble!! I've had alot of great comments from the locals in town!

This car was a complete paint job.It took me three months to prep this car.I had a professional body shop paint and do the rally stripes.I am not sure what a body shop will charge just to add the stripes. My labor to sand and remove and there labor to spray and wet sand cost me $3,000
My advice is find a good body shop and price it out .

Hey Thanks

I will first look for a stripe that l like and then l will rive over to Remsen which is close.

Question, when the stripe goes over the top and where should the stripe stop? Keep in mind that on the back panel the word Corvette is indented?

Thanks

Alan
