ignition problem - vette wont start

For the second time in two years my 2000 vette with 135k miles has failed to turnover with the key in the ignition......tried the second key and key fob, sameo sameo, no blown fuses, battery new and connected tightly, steering column unlocked.... could the neutral safety switch, steering column xmitter or maybe the ignition switch be the culprit...if i shake the car really hard and jiggle the key in the ignition switch and move the prndl shifter back and forth eventually it will turn over....also the battery was replaced years ago with one that doesnt leak so no issues down there near the computer...any one else have this experience....any input is greatly appreciated...thanks in advance...newyorknick (currently residing in cali)

When this happend to my 98 some years back is was the ignition switch. But the ignition switch was worn and loose at the time so it was easy to see that was the problem.

Odds are it's the ignition switch.
