I bought a set of Hawk brake pads and got these rotors for $50, would you use them?

Hell ya, just keep a close eye on them if you're concerned.

I don't see why not. The bowtie isn't going to do anything for/against the performance of the rotor.
I have 'auction site' drilled/slotted rotors on my Z and they've been fine. I've got about 4k miles on them and a couple of track events. I like the zinc plating.. always cleans up nice for shows. I think I paid < $150 for the set of 4.

Funny - I bought a set of rotors and got a set of Hawk pads for free but was wary of using them because folks were complaining about them at the time.

I like the bow-tie on them, and I like that they are dimpled, and not drilled. I'd use them, and what was mentioned, keep an eye on them.

Those are the Edge Performance Rotors that I believe were sold by BSI Brakes. I have a set and I can't complain. They work just fine on my DD. I don't have the bowties, mine are drilled and slotted. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions about them.

I believe some forum members got screwed by them. They ran a very good price on rotors and pads but went out of business very soon after, so not all of the orders were filled. There used to be a sticky at the top of one of the C5 sections concerning them.

They have that "Made in China" look to them.

My answer would be NO

I thought that was the "zinc plated" look.

I also got the Edge Performance Rotors that were sold by BSI Brakes. I got drilled and slotted with HAWK HPS pads for about $350. They are also cryogenically treated as well as zinc plated. They are GREAT brakes ! Still look brand new and stop well.

I bought a set of them from BSI. I painted the hats black. I have not mounted them yet because I only have 5k on the brakes I have now.

If I recall correctly, they were supposed to be made in USA, zinc coated and Cryogenically treated. You got a deal on the rotors. I paid $200 for the 4.
