Aligning Headlight covers

Aligning Headlight covers
I just replaced the Depo headlights with OEM pop-ups. The right side headlight cover needs to be moved back and the front lifted up. As the back of the assembly is tight against the back mount, how do I move the cover without moving the rest of the assembly?

That a tricky one. I had to remove one cover and I spent an hour or more alining it. What I ended up doing was to tighten the bolts just tight enough to hold in position but loose enough that I could put the headlight down and use the palm of my hand to adjust it just right. Its been a couple of years since I did this so I don't have everything visualized but I do remember doing that.

If you pull the headlight cover off the headlamp assembly, there are some screws on the inner assembly that raise and lower the cover. It's a time consuming process because you have to take off the cover, adjust, reinstall and check, repeat.

Exactly. Thats when I decided to tighten them just enough to hold position then when it was right I tighten the rest of the way.
