Owning black is a love and hate relationship. Love it when its clean hate it when its dirty. IMO black is the best when all waxed up and cleaned. I love it but hate the work keeping it clean, this will be my last black car.
That's the problem w/ black, clean for about 10 minutes after 4 hrs. of polishing. If the OP wants the least maint. lighter colors are what you want, with white being on the top of the "always looks good" pile. White may not be a flashy color, but with the right accessories and accents, it can look as good as any other color. That whole black car thing is so "Batman" anyway-he's really the only guy that an all black car works for anyway.
I've had my C5 for 10 years and I'm sick and tired of keeping the black paint clean. I've been thinking about changing the color and was wondering how much paint will I need to redo the entire car?
Ten years! Geeze I'll be 67 after owning mine ten years. I hope we both make it. I guess I'll be driving a pretty dirty vette then.
I'm going to have the pros do it. I just plan on buying the paint myself and then getting a sponsorship from a shop so I can get it done cheap. Maybe even a sponsorship from the paint company.

So you going to drive around with something like Dupont plastered all over your car? and the painters name?
I would like to put in my .02 cents worth in but....I'm too busy washing and waxing and polishing my black beauty...live with it and think of some witty things to say to neighbors when they say, "your always polishing that car"! ( Get back to us with some witty stuff.) Cheers, Rob
