I've had my C5 for 10 years and I'm sick and tired of keeping the black paint clean. I've been thinking about changing the color and was wondering how much paint will I need to redo the entire car?
A gallon is typically enough to do an entire car (assuming it has a roof to paint also), then you have primer/sealer/hardner/reducer/clearcoat and all the other extras you need to paint a car. Be prepared to drop $1500 on GOOD material (more for pearls/reds/special colors) if you decide to DYI. It's hard work but can be fun, the wetsanding and buffing are time consuming.
If it were my car, I wouldn't paint it another color unless you were going to customize the entire car and turn it into a show car. Instead, layer up the Zaino, enjoy the black.

Hey, if you use Zaino paint, it'll only take about 3 oz. That'll do 2 coats.
Owning black is a love and hate relationship. Love it when its clean hate it when its dirty. IMO black is the best when all waxed up and cleaned. I love it but hate the work keeping it clean, this will be my last black car.
