Convertable Top Dye

Does anyone know if a tan convertable top can be dyed black ? And where to find the correct dye for this purpose ?

with not having a tan top, I just bought a new black one , die sounds interesting though

Unlikely you'll find anything when a new top is $1000-1500, just get a new top. If your old one is in good shape you might be able to sell it.

So..dougbfresh are you saying there is no such dye ? I'm researching this for a friend who bought the car with the top messed up. It's tan but some spots are lighter & some are darker. The top itself is in very nice shape except it looks like S--- !

I've never heard of or seen a convertable dye, I've seen kits to rejuvinate the waterproofing. Find a local interior/top outfit and ask them but I doubt you'll find anything worthwhile. I did find some BLACK dye for VINYL tops but nothing for cloth.
