a/c issue
C5 a/c systems (like all the systems) are somewhat complicated and finicky. Do a search in the Tech Forum and I am sure you will find someone else who had the same or similar problem.
Some of these issues are easily cleared up by pulling the fuse (don't remember the number offhand) for 15-30 seconds and then replacing it. This causes the actuators to reset themselves. It worked for me when the passenger's side was blowing warm air while the driver's side was blowing cold! Try the simple things first!
Again, welcome to the CF!
The below excerpt from a previous post is appropriate to your problem. Read it and the enclosed link and you will have all the info you need to fix your problem, which is a vacuum problem. If you need more help move the post to the Tech section and post more info.
Good Luck.
AC VENT PROBLEM
Hi, The most likely culprit is a vacuum problem. If changing the mode does not make any difference to the volume of air through the top vents, and it seems to be coming out of all vents at the same time,(top, bottom, defrost), then you probably have a break in one of your vacuum lines. Check under the battery box, there is a vacuum tank that has a check valve connected to it, and vacuum lines running to the check valve, from the back of the intake manifold, and back out to the vacuum block inside the car. Very often battery acid will spill or drip over time and eat away at the lines and electronics below the battery box. Also often the line will get disconnected or broken where it goes into the nipple at the back of the intake manifold. Do a search for ac vacuum problems, there are numerous posts concerning this problem. If it is battery acid, do a search for leaking battery, this is a problem you need to address properly or there can be a world of damage. The link below is a good place to start. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...nge-vents.html
