Exhaust Tip Replacement
A friend with a 2000 coupe with stock exhaust lost one of his exhaust tips. The local dealership has told him he would need to purchase the entire muffler set up and cannot buy just the tip. Can anyone verify this claim for me?

The 'tips' are welded to the muffler on a 2000 C5. They are oval, and plain black........ugly in my opinion..........
If your friend's 2000 had chrome 'tips' or ends on the four exhaust pipes, and this is what he / she lost, then these are aftermarket tips, and not a chevrolet dealer item for the 2000 C5. Picture would really help.

We just toss them in the dumster.
I bet if you ask in the PFS section, someone who has a OEM set would send it to you for the cost of shipping or a few bucks.
Most of the time they take up space in the garage until someone throws them out...
