03 AE valve stem caps

03 AE valve stem caps
Does anyone know if the 03 AE valve stem caps were color matched to the wheels or just black plastic? chrome? We bought our 03 AE in mid June and all four caps were missing. I picked up some chrome C5 caps but was just wondering what it came with originally.

I own one and the caps are not chrome, just metal like all the other '03

This is correct. At a glance they almost look color matched, but they are silvery, and not as glossy as chrome.
