There are 3 different body styles for the C5 Corvette. They made convertables from 1997 until 2004, they made coupes, (the body style with the big back window and hatchback that opens up) from 1997-2004. In 1999 and 2000 they made a fixed roof coupe, (the body style with the short back window) it was the cheapest of the 3 body styles had an LS1 engine and the same suspension options as the coupe and the convertable. Then in 2001 they discontinued the fixed roof coupe in favor of the Z06 which used the same body style but was a higher performance version. Instead of the LS1 engine it has the LS6 which is 50 HP more, it has a stiffer suspension , larger wheels and tires, you could only get it in a 6 speed and the 6 speed has different ratio gears than the 6 speed that you could get in the coupe or the vert. There are a few other performance upgrades on the Z06 but this is the basics. Of the cars you have pictured the yellow one is a Z06, and the black one at the bottom is a coupe.

Your right Bill, what was I thinking. LS2 is base engine for the first few years of the C6
