Default Electrical problem????

I've only had my Vette a couple months, but recently the passenger door has been giving me some issues. It won't unlock all the time with either remote, or the buttons on the door. Sometimes it takes a couple times of trying before it'll work and sometimes it doesn't seem to want to work at all. Then yesterday, the window won't roll down anymore. It worked fine the day before, but now it won't budge at all. I can't hear a sound like the motor is trying to kick on when I try to roll it down though, and am just kind of at a loss as to what it could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Look for window and door problems in "search" there are dozens of posts like yours with solutions. Relys, grounds, BCM problems, sticky window motors, etc. One of the biggest PIA with the C-5!

Ok, I replaced the lock/unlock modules and the window control module on the board and still nothing. Another concern now is that the passenger door has the Old style board in it from the 97'-00'. I'm not sure what board the drivers door has in it as I haven't had the chance to pull it apart yet.

With the modules replaced, the passenger door will now lock/unlock the drivers door only, but you can hear a click like it's trying do the same for the passenger door. The window won't function at all, no noise for the motor kicking on or anything. My dad checked the fuses in the car and said that they all look fine, so we're stumped as to were to look next.

Any help is greatly appreciated, and any theories as to why the Old style board is in the passenger would be even better.

TIA

I pretty much had the same problem ... at 1st all power to the pass. door quit. Put a Scan tester on it, commanded the window up, it did. Worked for a few days, quit again. Scan tester again ..... worked for a couple weeks. Then one day had the top and both windows down, went to put up .... drivers door now dead

Put a Scan tester on it, window up ...... but did not work. Ended up being a couple fretted wires in the connectors to the plug into the control module ..... also put dielectric grease on ALL connections. Been working fine since.

I'm new to electrical problems, so not really sure what fretted wires means... Should I be looking for frayed wires in the harness somewhere maybe??

Ok, so I found out in doing some more searching here that it could also be the window motor is stuck, or the wires from the body to the door could have become exposed and just need taped up and it should fix it.

Is there anything I haven't found yet using the search that could be wrong with it? And I'm still not sure why that door has the old style board in it....

Hey guys we are stumped here rying to fix these electrical problems on the passanger door so any help would be great. we are going to take the control board out of my vette and see if they are the same board and if they are put it in my sons car to see if the door locks and window will work then.

since we can here the clicking going on when we hit the lock button and the driver door lock working could it be the the locking motor are what ever it is called that moves the door lock gone bad?

we are also going to take all the connection loose and put some dielectic greese on the connection along with pecking on the window motor to see if it will come loose and start working.

this car came form florida so could there be corsion on the connection from the salty water?

like i said earlyer any help would be great.

Check the ground pin in the door harness. Its in the kick... you should be able to pull it out through the door boot side. The pin sometimes opens up over time from opening and closing the door. Take a pick tool and bend it back if thats the prob.
