Default Suggested Shocks for Crusing

I had F-45 shocks that were on their way out so I swapped to Bilstein Sports wanting to get better footing...however on Houston streets, the pavement is rarely smooth. When I drive I feel like i'm driving a go-cart.

Deciding this car will never see a strip or track (engine is too old/hi milage) I'm thinking of swapping to a softer riding shock. What do you guys reccomend for that Cadillac-smooth ride?

If you are not slammed the Koni FSD are a very good shock and will smooth out your ride I had them on my C5 before I went to coil overs. Now they are on my C6

I installed the Bilstein HD shocks a few years ago and I am very please with them. I was afraid the Sports would be to firm for my tastes. The HD's were slightly firmer than my stock z51 shocks were at 30K miles but the perform better on all roads at all speeds and smoothed out the overpasses on the interstates (before it would bounce too much now its perfect IMO). Perfect shock for improved performance but no harsh side effects.

Nope, $250 for all.
From Gene's website http://www.gmpartshouse.com

||--Genuine GM 2008 C6 Z06 Shocks--||

10313647 – Z06 Front Shocks
25819268 – Z06 Rear Shocks

Both sets of front and rear shocks (4) 243.70 total.
For the shocks on our website, use part number c6z06shocks under Chevrolet make.

The C6 Z06 shocks will work on C5’s without modification.
I'm not sure how well they will work on a car that's lowered an inch though, do some searching.

C6 Z06 shocks should work just fine for your car.
