I sold mine to a guy in San Antonio. 76' stingray, charcoal, 20in torque thrust 2's, big block w/ muncie 4spd. Last time I heard, he blew the head gasket and cracked 2 wheels. I never shouldve sold that car.
Mine is in the parking lot at Donley Brick Co. because that's where I work. I drive it every nice day that I can. I bought it on June 1st and have put almost 5000 miles on it this summer. Man, I love driving and looking at that car.
The easiest way to get back your original car is to offer to buy it back for $250,000 like the owner of Papa John's Pizza just did to get back his 1979 Camaro.
He had a lot of helpers!
My original 1977 Corvette is still with the second owner, after me, in a town 30 miles from here. Sometimes I want it back, and some days I think it is just an old car compared to my Z06.

I better start drilling for oil in the back yard!!! I will not give up until I have exhausted all the possible ways of tracking down my Old 75' Roadster! I have a few different avenues that I am trying to get the VIN from. I am just happy members' are still reading the thread. Someone out there will remember seeing my Vette. After two plus years of looking on the internet for it in Vette Clubs, for sale ads, Forums, auctions; I know it will show up. I have found the first buyer and second one, all I need is the VIN! The rest will be easy.

Reason: spelling
Well, I have spoken with Lloyd Miller, the 1953 restorer of "003", he help me get in contact with Joe K, the son of Howard K, the gentlemen I sold my 75' to 30 years ago. He remembered the car that his father purchased back then. He was the one who saw the ad in Hemming's Motor News back in July 1979. He told me some disturbing news yesterday, my Vette was totaled by a family member in the 80's. Now the good news, the Vette was reconstructed by none the less, Lloyd Miller, "003" restoration Ace. The Vette remained in the Collection (over 50 Vettes) till the early 90's, when it was sold to a banker in Tulsa. Joe k remembered his name and bank were he worked till his retirement. I had to do some detective work, but I did talk to the next owner, he relocated to Florida after he retired. I knew from talking to Joe K that he sold the car around 94', I was hoping he would of retained some expired registrations or insurance records with the VIN. Well, I came up short with no info, but dealt this setback, I am going to call Oklahoma DOT to see if I can get the VIN from them or PENDOT on my end. I will continue the search, so if anybody has seen a 1975 Millie Miglia Red Roadster with an L82, Turbo 400 with white soft top and matching hard top let me know, all your help will be greatly appreciated by "Old'75"Owner"!!
I hope this ends with a happy ending cause that's a cool story.
Oh, I remember my first like it was yesterday! Actually it WAS yesterday....had it for 30 hours, 21 minutes, and some odd seconds now. It's in the garage and should still be there...I like to check on it every hour or so to make sure!!
I started my efforts with the government agencies in trying to get to the "VIN". I called Oklahoma Transportation Tax Commission with the two known OK residents names and addresses hoping we could use this detail to drill down in their databases to vehicle title and registration. I even had owner #2's last plate # WEKNFUN. I was told by OK representative that the agencies databases are driven by title number and VIN. I now a contact with OK DOT-Tax Commission for future assistance.
I called a former PSP officier (Pa State Police Officer) friend of mine with some of the details I have accumulated over the past few day and you know the story, he has a connection to some vehicle information. He was going to do his best in the search effort.
Now for Big News, I received a PM from one of us (CF member) late last night, who's name will remain a secret, but he has a connection to an agency with the capabilites to really do some searching with a high degree of success. I will be providing him with all the information today and hopefully his contact will come through. He told me a story how his contact found a Jeep he learned to drive in. It was not sitting on a street corner, but in the middle of nowhere. So look for my next update in the days to come. As always, thanks for all your support, keep your eyes and ears open, and the search for "Old'75'Owner" first Vette continues!!!

Good question, answered above. I asked the guy about it and he said it would be fine. He and his son were VERY knowledgeable about performance cars, just getting their feet wet in Vettes...
I thought I would include this Web site in this thread, because Joe Kirsch is building it in honor of his father Howard. howardkirsch.com. It has album pictures of the family, Corvettes, statues produces by one of his companies and "003", "The Oldest Corvette". Also, pictures of a 1975 L-82 Corvette Roadster, which was a stable mate of my 75'. They were both purchased by Howard around the same time. If you get some time you will see some neat pictures. One picture looks like all 1953 Corvettes at Corvette Carlisle in 2003. Enjoy!
