I still have my first Vette (1980). I'm considering selling it now but it's like giving up your first born. Hard to commit to really selling it. I have 3Vettes now so I should probably sell one so I can mod the hell out of one of the other ones.

^^^^That would be hard to sell... WOW ! What a good looking car
My first vette was a 56 I bought in 57. It was turned into a road racer(376 ci and 620 hp) and when I sold it(1966) the guy who bought it wrapped it and himself around a telephone pole the first week. He went into the ground and there was nothing worth while to salvage from the car.
I started over two years ago to search for the first Vette I owned over thirty years ago. I have seen threads on here of Forum Members trying to find and buy back there first musle cars. I am currently working on a lead I got from a seller on Ebay from the Tulsa, OK area. This is were the buyer was from way back in 1979. I have checked out Corvette Clubs in that area and any person with a 1975 Vette convertible. The big problem I have is that I don't have the VIN for the Vette. So I was wondering if anyone on here every tried to find and buyback there first favorite sports car and how they approached the search. See my profile for details on the 75' Vette. Thanks in advance for all of your valued advice!!
Have any pics of it with a tag# ? If so try your motor vehicle dept. for the VIN that way. I'm sure it's been purged by now but you never know. If it was financed, try your lender for the loan document with the VIN.
I did a simple VIN post over on C2 and bang, Motortom found my first ever vette (63 SWC) alive and active in Lucas County Toledo OH area. It's got title #4802536291 assigned 5 yrs ago. Still unk owner but it was titled 9-14-04 ($36K w/69K miles) exactly 5 yrs ago to this day.
Had to sell in Md. when I got drafted ancient times ago.

Reason: 5 yrs not 4
Me and my father restored a '74 coupe in high school, and right before I graduated he passed. I kept the car for about a year, and then I traded it for a Chevelle, thinking I wanted to go the steel body muscle car route. I ended up selling the chevelle for a 10th of what it was worth, and to this day I regret getting rid of my first Vette.
I went back to the guy I traded it with one day a few years later and he said he sold it on ebay to a guy in Texas. That's all I know

Well,I sold it in '95 ('92 coupe) when I was living in Hawaii,so I imagine it would still be there. Who knows, I really don't want it back either, I'm not a fan of red but, bought it because it was cheap.

I was in contact with a friend with access to PennDot and was working on it. The bank is no longer in business.
in the garage with the 96 gs and the 03ae. it is a 1984 coupe with 106000 miles and judged in 08 "top flight original" by NCRS. i'll post ssome pics very soon.
My first was a 1960 honduras maroon with 2-4s and a solid lifter 270 Duntov cam and 4.11s. Believe it or not I paid $1500.00 for it and drag raced it on the street and strip! This was in 1966 and that shows you what inflation is all about. My second Vette was a "57" fuelly that had a rod through the block so I got it for $900.00 and turned it into a drag car. [hillborn injected "301" with a b&m hydro! We had no idea what these cars would be worth today but By God, we had fun!
