i'm hoping the OP gets a few responses here as i have a similar problem.
what i have done so far - isolated the squeeking sound to the targa top where it latches in the front. i removed the targa top and used some aircraft 303 on the weather stripping. re-installed and squeek was gone - for about a half hour - then returned. there may be a way to tighten the latches in the front but i haven't looked at that yet. any guidance from the wizards of the forum? i'd appreciate it.
I need to grease up the weatherstripping on mine. I also get a sound like it's loose every now and then. If you can tighten up the clamping system, I would love to know how to do it.
Mine does it on the drivers side , what I do and it works every time is to reach up and relaese the latch and then latch it back. Its only temporary but it usally wont squeak for the rest of the drive. Dont do this at speed of course , I do it when i leave the parking lot at work at about 10-15 MPH . Seems to be worst after it gets hot form the sun.
