Mine isnt in the car, its screwed to the cieling in the garage and plugged into the overhead door unit. Only six feet but I can still reach up and press the button when I hook it up. When I leave with the car the quick disconnect that comes with the ctek hangs from a hook next to the charger). You do have to pop the hood to d/c it they way I have it, so thats an extra step but Im not minding it atm.
If you wanted to mount it in the vehicle for some reason (not a bad idea but you still need the outlet in the house to plug it in, so it could live near the outlet ,m but to each his own ), I would guess you could find a spot right in the battery den (planety of room in there). Possibly use the lugs to put on the battery posts and run a short cord from the ac in on the ctek to a male extension cord plug (which has the press in water caps moulded into it) which you could run to the cove opening (just leave it hanging in there, nothing's gonna bother it).
I am thinking if I can mount it in the car and when I pull in the garage just plug it in without having to get the 3300 out of the cabinet hook it and then plug it in. I know its not that much work but since it kind of small from the photo I seen I'd kind of like to install it in the car so when I pull in the my garage I just plug in.
So I was wondering if some of you guys have installed your unit in the car and where you installed it and how you access the cord might have some good tips.
