Default Aligning depo headlights

Just installed a set of depo headlights and need held on aiming the lights at the right height. If I pull the car infront of a wall how far away from the wall should the car be? Also how high should the beam of light be from the ground? Any advice helps. Thanks

I adjusted mine by driving it. They have a sharp enough cut-off that you can see where it's at when you drive. Just aim them so that the lows cut off before they get in peoples eyes, but they're still high enough that they shine far.

i usually pull up close to a wall, make a mark on it with chalk where the beams are, and then re-aim slightly lower than the mark from 20' back

you should be about 20' from the wall....measure from the ground to the center of the lamps and the beam on the wall should be slighty lower than the measurement you took

I just painted (black) and installed my DEPO lights with 6000K HID's two weekends ago. As others have said they only adjust up and down and it's best to adjust them all the way down. The low beam and high beam move together, it's not a separate adjustment, did you paint your lights and install HID's?

What does this mean? I'm lost

Does anyone else agree with the post above mine that they should be adjusted all the way down?

I also am installing mine with HIDs soon

Park 20' away from a wall....measure from the ground to the center of the depo projector...say it's 24". now go to the wall and put a horizontal line on the wall at 22". This is so your lights aren't going to blind someone a ways down the road. Now all you have to do is adjust the lights until they hit that line on the wall.

Got it thank you!

How close do you think this was to all the way down like the guy said above? Thats much easier to adjust them all the way down before installing!!

I'm not sure, i removed mine before i got that far. I had mine pointing down and they were lighting up the second floor of peoples homes. I would say start with them all the way down and go from there.

If you need to adjust them after they are installed, remove the plasctic piece that sits parallel to the ground and is right in front of the front wheels. You should be able to reach your arm up there enough to get to the adjustment scew.

I can't take credit for this but here is the proper procedure for the factory lights:
