Default Forged wheel weights

Just got my IForged 9.5x18's and 11x19's. On my digital scale they came in at 22lb fronts and 24.3 rears. The new front 18's are 2.4lb's heavier than the oem 17's and the 19 rears are 2.9lbs heavier than the oem 18's. I saved at least that much going to Baer Eradispeed rotors so I havn't increased the unsprung weight overall. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get them mounted with Michelin ps2's and weigh the tire and wheels together. Maybe the info will be of interest to anyone getting ready to purchase new wheels.

Sounds like a nice setup ! Your weights are not to far from stock. Thats good. Also keep in mind that increasing your wheel size you essentially move the weight further out from the center. That hurts performance a bit. I know its being nit picky, but its just physics... I doubt you will feel much a difference though, and you will be happy as a clam with the new look on your ride !

Picky, picky, picky! Couldn't post pic's just yet as tires have not been mounted and you of all people are just gonna be jealous. You and I have Z's which are exact copies except for the wheels, so don't be in too big of a rush cause you're gonna want a new set of rims when you get a look at mine.

There won't be any shortage of people beating down Mark's door for his setup. Your setup might be as nice as Mark's but you can't improve on perfection so I'm not sure how yours are gonna be better.

Both gonna be lookers for sure though. Cheers.

I know perfection is everywhere when it comes to our rides, thats why we all love this forum,,,a guy could go crazy just looking at all the fine machinery. I'll get pics up as sooon as IForged returns one of my front rims that had a few machining burs which slipped by QC. The VP told me that I would have it back asap. The Michelins go on and then pics....can't wait myself!

Which Iforged wheel are we talkin' here? I have a set of TE10's in your sizes that ended up being about 3 and 4 pounds heavier than the stock Z wheels on my '03.

We're talking about a set of TE5S's in 18/19. The wts straight across are F's OEM is 19.6, IF are 22.o and R's OEM is 21.4, IF are 24.3. That works out to be 2.4 increase in front and 2.9 in the rear per wheel even with the larger rim sizes. I thought that was pretty good even with the increase in wheel size. Normally I wouldn't want to increase the unsprung wts but with the Baer rotors it's a neutral change.

Thanks. I was considering the Eradispeeds to help quell the weight increase too. Sounds like the Baer's are substantially lighter!

The Eradispeeds have the aluminum center cap. I should have weighed both the oem and Baer's but forgot to. But they are substantially lighter, even with the 14in rear rotor. They look pretty cool imho.

I weighed mine on my car before I mounted them. It was my bathroom scale so maybe not that accurate....

I don't remember the numbers but....... The rear OEM 12" were the same weight as the Baer 14". The front OEM 12.75" was a little more than a pound heaver than the front 13.35" Bear I installed.

I love the look of them behind my 19/19 wheels.

Yea, me too. The rotors were one of the best visual mods I've done plus they work just as well or better than the oem's. I'm still waiting for my wheel back from IForged, they needed to remove several machining burs and as soon as it gets back ps2's go on and then on the Z. Post pics then!
