I can honestly say I don't have any stories like this but I wish I did. Sorry, I'm no help on your post but good luck.

You had a blow out in your rear end while giving your mom a ride.

That is pretty good, i haven scared my mom a couple times in my car but i don't think she would go for a burnout...

Sounds like you need a new trans and diff. That is common when you blow out the diff it takes the trans with it. You could go with a built setup or stay stock. It's a lot of work to pull out all that stuff just to put stock stuff back in that will probably break again. You will be paying a fortune to have a shop install all of this. I would look at a shop that deals with modified vettes who knows how to work on them. Either way going through a shop plan on spending an easy $2-3k.

sorry about the bad news.. Unfotunately, the more horspower you put down the more likely you are to tear something else up that was not engineered for that kind of power.. Back in the 90's I had an Eagle Talon Tsi (Turbo) same thing as the Mitsubish Eclipse.. It was very common in our car club to see every driveline component torn apart in cars running times under 12 seconds.. These Turbocharged engines had a lot of potential, unfortunatly the rest of the driveline was not engineered with mods in mind
