Default CCW Wheels & Tire question

Hello,

I ‘m thinking about buying some CCW T10 19"x10" with 275/30ZR19, Rear set is 19"x11" with 305/30ZR19 from Zip: Corvettes are all we do

http://www.zip-corvette.com/Zip/prod...692DC91AA5A744

I own a 2001 convertible stock (stock height, stock brakes and calipers)

I have some questions

1. Will 19 inch wheels change my speedometer?
2. How rough will 19"x10" with 275/30ZR19, Rear set is 19"x11" be compared to stock?
3. Is there a better measurement I should be looking at?
4. Has anyone bought wheels from zip? Any feedback on them?
5. The package deal they have is with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 or Pirelli PZero Rosso high performance radials. Any feedback on either tire?
6. Price for the package deal is $4895.95. (mounted and balanced) Is that a good price?

Thanks in advanced for your feedback

I bought my CCW 505a's directly from John @ CCW. No need to go anywhere else for them! As far as price goes, I paid $4800 and change from CCW and that included shipping. It was 2 years ago, however.

That's great advice. I will contact CCW direct for a price.

Anyone with 19's all the way around know how much the ride will change from stock?

One more recommendation for just buying directly from CCW. They can set you up with the right combination for your car.

I bought mine right from CCW in Feb. 2008 and paid 4250 shipped, But I had Nitto Invo tires on mine. Awesome look and rides real nice, I also lowered mine which made it a little stiffer ride, but still feels good. Also no adjustments to speedo or anything else, just bolt them on and go.

I have CCW 19in 505's all the way around on my 00 Vert with Michelin PS2's. Mine rides better. The stock RunCraps are junk. Much better handling and overall smoother ride.

I have CCW's 18"f 19"r and love the ride and handling. You will not regret it. Oh and BTW, hope you dont mind spending some TLC on them. They are high maintenence. For me its a labor of love.

I have a feeling CCW will be able to beat that price

I had 19/19 CCW 505s and then switched to 19/20 T10s...I didn't really notice any difference in ride. You will notice when you go to the 19" in front from 17s or 18s...I definitely did.

I had the Pirellis on my old set of wheels and they are way overpriced. When I got my ccws I switched to Nitto Invos and could not be happier better tread life and quieter not to mention half the price!

I happen to agree with the above statement! I also run Nitto Invo's and couldn't be happier with them. I am running CCW C14's in 18x10 front and 19x11 rear as I prefer the staggered look. One suggestion is if you plan on adding a big brake kit down the road, tell John and he can make sure the wheels will work with the brakes!

Good luck!

When I got my CCW's from John he told me they dont really have dealer account so most places that sell them are not getting much of a discount if any. I would go directly to CCW. John spent time with me on the phone trying to get the right lip and offset for the tire I wanted and helped me make a decision on future brake upgrades.

Go directly to CCW.
They will price match the tire prices you find on Tire Rack.
CCW Says-->Tire prices constantly change and due to that we don't list them online. However, we price & match the TireRack®, Discount Tire®, or Edge Racing prices** so you can use them as an online referance.)
CCW does not charge you shipping on the tires from Tire Rack to them.
They will mount/balance the rims, and tires for you.
You will have them in less than 2 weeks (they have to make them)
They ship them ready to mount on your car and drive away.

- I got the SP500's in 19x10 and 19x11 running the 275/30/19, and 305/30/19.
- There is almost no change in the speedo (60mph on speedo = 60.4-60.5 mph actual speed). Not enough to worry about.
- These tire sizes you ask about allow you to maintain the stagger you need to keep the Active handling monitors working correctly.
- They actually help fill in the wheel wells a bit more than stock and it looks much better I think.
- Car rode smoother with my new Continental tires vs my Goodyear Z06 SC tires.
- I got Continental Contisport 3 tires and they are a good tire that I'm really impressed with.

You should be into $3100 for the Rims. Tires range of course.

Tire Rack Options for the above sizes
Continental Contisport 3's - $1460 (26 and 28 lbs)
Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 - $1228 (29 and 32 lbs)
Pirelli PZero - $1754 (25 and 30 lbs)
Hankook Ventus V12 - $ 806 (27 and 32 lbs)
Yokohama Advan Sport - $ 1480 (27 and 32 lbs)

Hope this helps.

What he said. I also have the same sizes you do...but I have BFGKDW2's, Great tires and about 800 bucks cheaper direct from CCW for over all package. Ride is fine and comfortable, not rough at all.

I talked to John at CCW. This is what he suggested

CCW T10
19x10 (front)
19x11.5 (rear)

Tire Nitto invo
275x30x19 (front)
305x30x19 (rear)

$4180 shipped to my door.

I hope that won't make it a rough ride. Any comments on his suggestion?

Those rears will stickout a 1/8" or so. Just be prepared. From certain angles they look like they even go out more than that. But you get used to it.

I would vote you lower that car right away. Those lower profile tires are going to have a lot of wheel well gap.

Great combo.

It will look FABULOUS plus the Nittos are first class tires.
