I think those who have them are happy with them. The major difference is they are mild steel not stainless which will cause a debate here. They are also made right here in the People's Republic of Illinois...
I cannot speak to Melrose Headers since I have not used their product. I can attest to the above post that ARHs are of superb quality. We have made substantial power in our vehicles. They hold records in C5Z bolt-on only (10.89), C5Z N/A H/C 346 (9.98), C5Z N/A H/C Any CI (9.64), C6Z bolt-on only (10.74)

Reading most of the posts and talkin to people it seems like most people have went with lg long tubes or american racing headers. My neighborhood performance shop was saying its the only headers they would recommend and have great experience with them.
I have seen and worked on 100's of C5/6Z's, I have never once seen a set of Melrose
mild steel build?? if they are, I would scratch them off my list, not good for 2plus years
The majority of shops have switched over to AmericanRacingHeaders.com in the past few years
Thats entirely false. If they are coated they will last a loooong time. I had ceramic coated mild steel headers on my c3 for 5 years and they still looked new, inside and out. Go for it
