I remember back on here when the forum started that people were saying that the C5 looked like the RX7.... Its not a far stretch really, but the RX7 is much smaller and lighter (2830lbs - Wikipedia)
what do you mean? The layout of the bumper and air intake are pretty frigging close. If you changed fog lights on one of them, it would be even closer. C6 looks like slightly flattened out MR2 up front. Too bad GM did not steal the quarter panel, duct and side skirt design from the rear of MR2. The car would look way better if they did.... As it is, C6 base looks way too sterile in the back, sterile the japanese way (how ironic)
Let's not forget his other awesome "Can C5 be considered a "sports car"?" thread.
It is actually pretty difficult to separate yourself in the sea of worthless that is the internet, but you have done a good job.
Do you own a Corvette? If so, please do that poor, ugly, non-performing car a favor and sell it.
if not to your liking, stay out. Get off my ass... or that vette that sits in my garage gets it... There is a lot of point to pointing out pointlessness. Get a life, take a drive or whatever...
Was it brilliant when you were basically bashing women drivers for driving barefoot or in heels, thereby necessitating A4 transmissions?
Was it brilliant that after months of R&D, you entered into TPE's fender thread and basically told them it must have been too difficult to produce a fender to your standards and liking?
Is it brilliant that you seem to pick on every aspect of our beloved cars, but you continue to own one and make parts for it that look like giant lipped vaccuum cleaner attachments?
Whatever man, I just don't get your true intentions here.

Wow. You sure told me.
A guy who sits on the internet with no point other than to try to annoy people... Sounds like you have a pretty awesome life yourself. I wish I was as fortunate.
I agree. I owned a 93 Rx7. Like corvettes, there were plenty of bolt on modifications. I was pushing 380 rwhp which made for a very fast car.
And I do see some resemblances. I've always thought GM took some design ques from the 93-95 Rx7 for the C5.

My 99 FRC
My previously owned 93 RX7
Serious? I'm willing to bet that GM designer's didn't need to look around at what others were doing, and got all the ideas they needed from previous generations. Artists are a funny thing, and I'd be more willing to bet that the foreign competition were the ones doing the copying. Remember, GM had the C5 on the drawing board many years before it's release.

Yes Seriously. Mazda also had the 3rd gen on the drawing board many years before it was released. It wouldn't surprise me at all that GM was looking at what the foreign competition was doing. That's smart business. Also remember the foreign competition was kicking American manufacturers butts in automotive design in the early 90's.
