Research how to fix the leaky butt on the left side.
If you replace the o-ring on the left side of the differential, you need to pull out the left output shaft.
Pulling the shaft is not bad at all.
I retorqued the lower left ball joint last weekend after doing the leaky butt on the left side.
In order to get access to the lower ball joint you have to pull the output shaft (at least the side at the wheels).
Its about a 1/2 day start to finish if you are slow and drinking beer.
While you have the shaft out, I threw some never-seize on the splines at the wheel side of the axle. It made things a lot easier pulling it out the second time!
[QUOTE=AlexSmith;1571746078]Sounds like he is the one that should be fixing it, not you. How exactly was he driving to do that?
-Alex[/QUOTE he is not a mechanic i am was just looking for some help so i did not have to pull the diff. but u have to pull the diff. to do the job. not to hard aready completed the repair. he broke it at the drag strip 4000 rpm clutch drop and bang it broke and it was aready a harden output shaft. his job is painting cars and breaking them so i can fix them he never learns

Nice job!, on the fix. Lots of work required to fix a broken shaft. That's just the way these cars are designed, that peticular break just so happens not to be a (Quick Fix). Which post or thread did you use for help? Which vendor did you use foe replacement shaft?
