Much as I love to see the Corvettes dominate, it seems obvious to me that GT2 is a very different animal from GT1. In GT1 the Vettes had virtually no competition. That's one reason Chevy/GM pulled out of GT1 - it was so lopsided it no longer seemed to be relevant.
In GT2 the Corvettes will have some real competition again, along with some other drivers who like to win as much as the 'vette drivers like to win.
From a consumer point of view, it could hardly be better. Racing almost always improves the breed. And very competitive racing generates a lot of engineering work which ultimately makes the cars better.
I don't know who started the "fight" between Porsche and Corvette. I'm not sure I care. But man, I'm sure looking forward to some fantastic, hotly debated racing next year!
It was a very exciting race. The last bit was very distasteful on Bergmeister's part. Everyone knows bumping and rubbing is racing, however, intentionally spinning someone out, or driving them into the wall is not acceptable.
