99 frc ?????
been looking for a C5 for years. thinking of a Black FRC 99 model. I have a 09 C6 and ten years apart might be cool. Then driving today i see one parked across the street from our store. I called the guy, he says it has 28k miles it has Zo6 style chrome wheels, manual with borla tails. Not much more then that except it looks very straight (guy says its never been wrecked) and clean for a 99. What do you think about 19k? Dont know the market AT ALL so thot i would run it by the guys who do. Thxs for any input and anything to look out for. Be safe, paul

Run a carfax, have it inspected, then go home with it.

For reference a few weeks ago I purchased an '02 with 53k miles on it loaded m6 yellow coupe for 22,500 out the door (about 21,500 was the price).
Was looking at a 98 Coupe m6 black/black for 18k out the door and 28k on the odometer. So he is asking for 1-2k more for 1 year newer over the one I was looking at it. Could probably get him down to 18k without much trouble.
If my wife wasn't a factor I would have went with a FRC or a Coupe and that price with those miles sounds like a great find.

Not a bad price, but IMO a little high. Last month I bought an '03 coupe with 8500 miles on it for $25K. I know you were looking at the 10 year difference thing, but there may be better deals out there for a newer car - even a Z06 can be had for not much more money.

Bought a 99 FRC in Nov 08 with 46 K miles. Owner was asking 18K for the car but were in a hurry to sell it. It was very clean and stock. Since it was a 6 speed, I was not interested and started to walk away. The wife said, we are in a hurry to sell, how about 15K. I took it. 
Want to buy it for 16K.

I sold my '00 Targa coupe with 20K miles in June this year.
Found my '99 FRC the next month. '99 FRC, Pewter with 25k miles.
Flew to Indianapolis from Arizona, drove it home & have been very happy with it since. Just FYI
