Can someone clarify the TC issue for me. I just bought a set of rims 18's all the way around, and I'll be running the stock 275 40 18 out back with 245 45 18 in front. Both front and back total diameter will be EXACTLY the same (26.7")...is this going to affect my TC now???

I run 18s all around. As posted above you have a better choice for selection. I have DRM's front brake cooling system and even with the fat tires there is no rubbing. See sig for sizes.

I'd like to know the same thing. If I'm going to invest that amount of money in wheels and tires... I don't want to start having problems, codes, etc.

You want the rears at least 1/2" taller.
Use the chart below.
18's all around will work, but a popular set up is 265/35/18 F, and 295/35/18 R.

not really 1/2" taller, just a little taller.

I ran tires the same size in all four corners, and did not have a problem unless it was a high speed sweeping corner. Then all the puter did was slow me down.

same size tires on all four corners 18x11.5x27.5 GY G19s

I just put my other set up for sale locally and I'll be ordering a set of 245 40 18 sometime today. It's not half inch difference, but should be enough to make a difference.

I thought the 1/2 was a guideline to ensure no issues. You may get away with less of a difference as it seems many are running with less and no issues.

You probably will have a traction control issue with these being the same size. The stock sizes have a 4% larger rear diameter than the front, which is 1". I know someone who put the same tire & wheel on all 4 corners and he was constantly getting reduced power and traction control switching off. I've heard as little as 1/2" difference in diameters is all it takes, but I don't how little you can get away with.

With those sizes you have an overall diameter of 25.3 front and 26.1 rear, maintaining a taller rear by .8 of an inch (greater than the recommended minimum of .5 inch. So you should not have any issues or codes.

Upgrading to 18/18 combo and having TC or active handling issues is NOT related to the rim size at all. Its 100% dependent on the tire size you choose. . You need to maintain or get very close to the original factory tire circumference.

It is however possible to put a larger or smaller circumference tire in the front or the rear. You just need to make sure that you increase/decrease the front and rear the same amount.

Alex has the correct size I upgraded to when I had a 18/18 setup and the circumference of the tires were the same as my factory Z06 setup and I never had issues.

This is the tire/wheel calculator I have been using and its great for looking at your options. Input your factory size tire, then start to play with the proposed tire size, and see how they compare. You will see that Alex's sizes he went to are correct (compared to stock Z06 tire circumference).

Its all about doing your homework BEFORE you spend the big $$... Ask for help if your not sure. Thats what this forum is great for...

Make the fronts 245 / 40 and you'll have no issues.

Hey Toque... excellent advice. I might also add that you can save your wheel/tire setup on the link (above) for quick access.
