does anyone know where i can purchase a valve spring compressor tool for a decent price with quick shipping? my car is at a shop and the guy doesnt have the right tool to get the last 2 springs out that sit under the dash area..So now im in a crunch because my car has been sitting there for nearly a week.
my guy has that tool, hes having issues with the 2 springs that are slightly tucked under the dash. It seemed easy to me when i glanced at the valve covers, but i only looked and real quick.
just went out and looked under my hood.. doesnt look like they should be hard to get to (or different than the other springs)..
that was my thought exactly..it looks like they are right there, but apparently they are harder to get that tool around..I dont know its getting me annoyed.
That tool that Blu by U will not fit in area that you mentioned. Did you get my P.M.? I gave you 2 different vendors, that both have a great tool for changing out these springs, to include the problem area that your machanic is having.
Show this picture to your mechanic and tell him to make one but if he leaves the pushrod in it's hole he needs to drill another hole in the tool to clear that.
Or just click on the buy it now and see if the seller has a faster shipping option before paying. Just be aware this tool needs you to take the pushrod out of the way.

Yes, no worries of breaking off the tools stud while screwed into the head. The other one that I mentioed is even better/cheaper than that one and can do 2 springs @ once.
