was pealing off all over my front bumper. Had local shop redo and charged me $375 to paint and clear coat. It looks fantastic! Seems like it was a good price.

You won't know what kind of deal it is for a while. If they just wetsanded and recleared it could still have "issues". If they stripped it and repainted it it might be a good deal.
hey i had that same thing where the clear coat was peeling and had to get it painted. anyone know why this happens? i got mine done for 260 but i have connections. most people get theirs done for 500. 375 is a great price.
Issues don't arise from the "painting, " they arise from inadequate preparation. Surface must be properly prepared, immaculately clean, and dry.
If I were the owner I would have taken it back to the shop that originally did the work (unless you bought the car that way) It is most likely because of sub par prep work.

Just sanding over the bumper and reshooting it would look like feces. They would have to strip it for it to look good when done. It is standard practice to offer lifetime warranty on paint and workmanship by the body shop so if there are any future issues the owner should not hessitate to take it back and have it redone.

You bring up great points but I think i'm sticking with poor prep for now. It is interesting that just the clear peeled and not the basecoat too. Perhaps too long of a flash time between base and clear? I'm still thinking "parking lot" paint job and the bumper was prepped only with a quick scuff pad.
My front bumper had chips all over it. I got it and both headlight doors painted and clear coated for $150.00. The paint matched perfectly. I was one happy camper.
