Default burning smell?

I just got my car back today from having the valve springs installed, and in my driveway after some spirited driving, i smelled a burning smell..Id like to think i can drive standard by now since ive been doing it in all of my cars for 8 years haha...i was wondering if its anything to do with the new valve springs and the material curing? i checked my oil levels, as well as clutch fluid and i do not really know what it possibly could be..Tip it didnt do it before the valve spring install unless its just grease etc burning off..any suggestions? oil temp was around 220 today after driving

When you say a "burning" smell.. does it smell like oil or coolant? Does it drive differently? changing the VS should not have those symptoms.. Did a reputable shop do the work? could they have taken the car on a spirited drive...? More info please...

The shop may have splashed some motor oil or other lubricant during the valve work down onto the exhaust manifold and your cooking it off. Should go away in a drive or two.

Yeah thats what i am ultimately thinking is causing the smell, as it def smells like grease/oil is burning off its not a sweet smell as coolant would be i know what thatwould smell like. I shall see if it ends up going away.

Mine puts off a smell like this after some spirited driving as well. I cut through an industrial complex to get to my house so there are a couple of roads where you can get on it a little right before I get home. Once I pull in the garage I can smell a slight burning smell but it I notice it more near the back of the car so I thought it was the brakes.

probably oil on the exhaust manifolds which can easily happen when you pull valve covers.
