RPO Code Question
I have an 03 White Convertible RPO 40U, although I don't see that code on the glove box or any other color related code.
According to the RPO list the white exteriors came with black, light gray or firethorn interior. There is an RPO looks like 701 or 70I which would be red/black. Isn't that r/b the mod red interior though? My interior is all red with the exception of the upper dash and tunnel console.
I have looked on several sites for a complete list of RPOs to include standard options and havent found one that is really complete, they only cover about half of the code in the glovebox.
There is one other line on the RPO sticker that puzzles me:
BC/CC U8554 703 16T
I know the 16T is the white convertible top, not sure what the rest means though.
Here is the most complete site I have found for the RPO codes:
http://www.vettefacts.com/C5/2003.aspx
I didn't realize the Firethorn red stopped, that makes the code make more sense.
I was just scanning the codes to see if there was anything unusual about the car that I didn't already know...
I wish I could find out how many white/white/red verts were made in 03 but it seems like that info is not available. Wouldn't make the car faster or better but it'd be interesting anyway. All I know is that there were 218 white tops produced. Oh and they're a pain to keep clean. Oh and they're expensive to replace and look better in the trunk.
Thanks for all you guys' help.
