Anyone have any good / bad experiences with a car bubble cover over winter? I'm in Chicago so was thinking about it for the winter months. For those guys that use it -- do you put your vette up on lifts to prevent flat spots on the tires? Any other pointers or do most of you stay away from the whole car bubble thing?
Never used a bubble, but if you have a nice garage,,seems like a bit of overkill !! As far as tires go,,there have been several post about that and according to most (including tire company recommendations) that all is needed is to inflate to about 40 psi will prevent problems. Seems a bubble would interfere with keeping a float charger (like a Ctech) attached. Just some thoughts!!

I store my car every year - have never put it up on jack stands. I just put a piece of old carpet under each wheel, add a little air pressure, put some StaBil in the gas, change the oil, hook up a battery tender and then put a nice car cover over the car to keep the dust off.
Have not had any experience with the car bubble - might be a good idea if you have critters that get into your garage.
I've kept all mine in the garage on the battery tender only all winter, I start every couple of weeks and let things get up to temp-that's it. If it's DRY outside I even run it around the neighborhood a couple of times over the winter to keep the gas fresh I top it off while I'm out. Never had a problem in 20+ years of Vette ownership.

I have had one for three years now and love it. There is alot of condensation in my garage and it keeps it off the Vette. with the air that is circulated through the bubble. I roll out the mat, drive the car on to it, take the battery out and turn it on. Blows up in a few mintues. I have it in there from the first or middle of Nov. to the begining of April. Not a single problem. It also protects the car if something falls against it like a shovel or broom. One of the best things I ever bought for my Vette. I just keep my battery in the house for the winter.
