i had this problem after installing a corsa x-pipe. i had to have someone hold the passenger side tips down with a lot of force as i tightened all the bolts and clamps underneath. it stayed for a while, but then it just popped back after a few heat cycles. im going to have another go at it this weekend. ill try to tighten things up again after one heat cycle and see if it stays.
Loosen the cat-back bolts, then use a piece of wood (like the one shown on the bottom right of your picture) and jack it up to the exhaust tips. This will guarantee they are totally level and even. Once you have them where you want them tighten the bolts again. Simple as that.

That's what I had to do. After the second heat cycle and tightening the heck out of it they're still in the same spot.

Ok, but, flanges are welded on the cat-back and free on the X pipe
So do you confirm ?
Cat back side (weld)
im not sure if just letting them sit even on a peice of wood is going to guarantee allignment. i ended up having to shove a 2x4 covered in a towell between the far passenger side tip and the lower fascia. after that, i tightened it. when the wood was removed the exhaust was alligned pretty well.
patches, are you using the corsa x-pipe? there isnt really much room for adjustment with the ti mufflers. it appears you have the borla stingers, which comes in two peices, therefore allowing for more adjustment. i think the main problem here is that the ti mufflers cant really be adjusted. if you read the instructions for installation of the corsa x-pipe.http://www.corsaperformance.com/CMS/...allpdf_91b.pdf in step #9 it mentions "For proper alignment, passenger side flange will be lower than driver’s side." i have noticed that if u push up on the passenger side pipe underneath, it lowers the passenger side tips, thus alligning them. why would they do this? for proper allignment my a$$!

Those are GHL's in the pics ablove. I have an FLP x-pipe on that setup. I initially installed Ti's on that car as well as on my wife's C5 (AR x-pipe) before switching to the GHL's on mine and the NXT's on her's. On both, I used the above method to align the Ti tips.
