I'm reading things from our sponsors and we can spend anywhere from $600 to $1900 on a set of headers (with X-pipe and cats).
So, gimme' suggestions as to which way I should go.
I love my car and I do not take it to the strip (might do some road course track time - not a lot) and do not want to throw cash out the window.
It's a 2001 (with 60,000 miles that I'm not sure when I'll sell and "up-grade" - if ever) so I wonder why I'd want to spend the upper limit.
Then again, I certainly do appreciate "buying domestic" products and quality.
So, talk to me!
I had TPIS LTs with a Random tech X on my 01 and loved it. It was just the right amount of sound and perforamce for me at the time. I went with the TPIS simply due to price, got a good deal on a used set up here on the board. I do plan to run american racing catted headers on my next C5 though.
Get the OBX ones the are dyno proven and quality is second to none. and make the same amount of HP as everyone else. Why would you spend that much money when you won't be able to see them?

Ahh a touchy subject indeed and a source of endless debates.....Quality domestic products at the high end or imports at the low end of cost......Most headers systems encounter some sort of challenges on installation, but are solvable.....Point here might be, are you willing to pay high end or would you not buy at all if that was the only choice....If finances are not an issue, domestic will get you desired results and a good feeling to boot. That said if they are an issue, import headers with domestic additional products will do the deed.......Good Luck
I bought my Kook's LT's used from someone on the forum. If I were to buy new ones, I would definitely consider the cheaper offerings that are now available on the forum. They seem to function just as well and look just as great but for a more reasonable price. Good luck!
