I went ultra's a couple weeks ago for both hi & low beam.
Its about $80 to do at pep boy's.
They are an improvement over stock, no doubt. But not dramatic like HID's.
But most likely when they burn out, I'll go HID.
Depending on the timing, either the cheap $60 ones in the stock housing, or if I have the money... light cannon's baby.
Those things are sweet, and they modernize the look and kick a**.

My concern with light scatter from the HID bulbs and comparison between the Toshiba HIR and the Silverstar led me to purchase the Toshiba. While not as bright as HID, the bulbs are far better than stock. I've had the low beams for over a year and have been very pleased....
EDIT: Just checked his website and the price has gone up to $36.95 each for the low beams.......Must be selling pretty well..
My experience with the Silverstar Ultras (in my 04 Tahoe DD) is you get about 1 year, then they start burning out on you. After 2 sets, I went back to OEMs.
They are definitely better than OEMs at night though.
I have used Silverstars in my pickup and while they are better than stock bulbs, with the fact that the truck uses low beams as DRL's, their life span was way too short.
There is a good bit of room below the headlights to mount the ballast, but even if you went with slim ballast it is only 95 for a set. Just something to think about....
