It is a soft clay that you can use to really detail you car. Works well when you get over spray on your vehicle. to make my long story short (google it) lol
Need some education here, I've probably never had a car nice enough to want to treat it so well...What is the clay bar and how do you use it??
Using a clay bar removes dirt and contaminates imbedded in the paint.
Clay bars and the lubricant can be bought anyplace that sells high quality car care supplies.
To use, you first wash your car. Then you use the lubricant that came with the clay bar and spray a small area. Take the clay bar and rub it over the area you just lubricated, continue doing this for the rest of the car. Then polish and wax your car and it will look fantastic.
I use either the ZAINO (red clay) or MOTHER'S (yellow clay) bars, the latter being easy to find at most local automotive stores.
If you experience smears/swirls when using the bar, you're not using enough lubricant. I usually use detailing spray for that, but some "waxers" say a little sudsy water does just as well...

Job well done.....never forget my fist experience w/clay......called several neighbors over to feel the difference.....
03WhiteConv....Clay is used with a lubricant to remove impurities from the paint.....If your paint feels rough (and it probably will be) when you run your hand over it, it needs claying....Wash, clay, polish if you have a buffer, wax......Quality time with the Vette....
EDIT: Yall beat me, had a phone call in the middle of typing

Reason: add
Claying the car is a must The clay will get rid of any contaminates left on the paint from normal driving.
Take a plastic sandwich bag and put it over your hand and touch the paint on a car that has never had a clay bar taken to it and then touch the paint on your freshly clayed corvette..... you will be amazed at the differance.
