Job well done.....never forget my fist experience w/clay......called several neighbors over to feel the difference.....
03WhiteConv....Clay is used with a lubricant to remove impurities from the paint.....If your paint feels rough (and it probably will be) when you run your hand over it, it needs claying....Wash, clay, polish if you have a buffer, wax......Quality time with the Vette....
EDIT: Yall beat me, had a phone call in the middle of typing
Thanks, now I just want to go get one and try it!! Arrgh, too much on my plate!! It'll have to wait a while.
Take a plastic bag and put it over your hand, then swipe lightly over the car body. If you feel any catching on the bag then you need to clay bar it. Once done the bag will be as
smoothe as a baby's behind. Good luck and keep that clay wet and lubricated for best
results.

I detail mine once/year.
My steps are wash, clay, wash, MACHINE polish, protect.
The clay will do nothing for the shine, but it is part of proper prep.

Just a reminder when you clay bar your car you DON'T have to apply a lot of pressure when you are claying . Just keep it well lubricated and you won't believe how smooth the finish will be on your car. Also don't forget to clay your windows and windshield
Clay bar is an essential - I do my Vette every spring. Good luck
