Drop Josh from RPI designs a line. He is selling them as 1-piece and 2-piece. I saw one on his Vette at Carlisle this summer and it looked good. I am waiting on the 2-piece that he said will be ready at the end of November.

Is he doing them again? I know he tried back at the beginning of the year but he said the chroming process just wasn't working right. I've been trying to find one for close to 3 years!
The one and two piece covers are basically fiberglass that has an aluminized coating applied and then chromed.
Few have gotten the technique right. I know a vendor that refinishes dash panels on '50s/'60s cars and he said the turn around time is 5 weeks++
It's a black art and few places do it right. I'm thinking that RPI is using the same cover (that most vendors repackage) made by Carbonwerks (as carbon fiber or fiberglass) and shipping them to be processed.
Good Luck!
You could find an aluminum Weiand/Lingenfelter intake and have it chromed if the high-polish work won't suffice...
