I just want a suggestion of what to expect when I take the car to get serviced. The ABS and Traction control service light is displayed (it says service both) in the driver info center. I have a
C5 with 59,000 miles it's an 04. Thanks for any info.
I've had my C5 for a week on the way home after buying it I went over some railroad tracks and that light came on. At the next street light I shut the car off and turned in back on, no more light. When I got home I read the owner's manual and it said do exactly what I did. I’m not sure why mine came on.

Me too.....If mine sits for a week or two,it will sometimes do that when it's started.Ditto....turn off..turn on & gone.
It could be the connections between the ABS wires and the hubs. A no cost fix is to disconnect the wires and clean the contacts. Bend them so they make good contact (not as easy as it sounds). Mine started to do this after I cleaned and painted the calipers. I wiggled the wires by mistake. After several tries of cleaning and bending it has been OK all summer.
