Hi, I am storing my 2000 vette for the first winter. I purchased the car about 4 weeks ago. I was told the battery tender is good. Which model is best for my car, Tender Jr. or Tender Plus ? Appreciate your help and really like this forum. Tks again.
I just bought a C-Tek 3300 for my C5 and was wondering if anyone has and experience with the cigerette lighter adapter instead of hooking up directly to the battery?
It's much easier install but I heard something about screwing up the electrics?
I have used the Battery Tender Plus for 8 years. No problems. You can order one from the National Corvette Museum and get a discount if you are a member.

I posted the same question in an earlier thread. According to the feedback I got (including Bill Curlee), there is no danger with hooking it up using the 12V cigarette socket plug. This is the way that my battery maintainer is presently hooked up. Very convenient especially when I want to go for a drive. No hood to close.
If your going to be gone for a long time, you want a float charger, which keeps you battery charged and not over charged. The C-Tek is a really good unit. Plug it in and let it do it's thing.
For all the Canadian members, here is the battery maintainer that I use. I highly recommend it. It's sold by Canadian Tire and I believe that it is also sold under the Duracell brand. I have always had good luck with "Eliminator" chargers and batteries.
