Default Too clean for seafoam effect?

I have a 2000 Coupe with 58k miles on it. This weekend I had to change the oil so I decided to try the seafoam treatment. I put a 1/3 of a pint in through the vacuum tube, rest of can in crankcase, then full pint into gas tank. All steps done according to the directions on the can and what I have read on the internet. I waited 10 minutes and restarted the engine, NO SMOKE. I had a small whisper of smoke come out for a second or two (a cigarette would make more smoke) but that is it, nothing like the clouds that I have seen on youtube. I am wondering if I did something wrong. I poured the fluid in through the vacuum tube fairly slowly, is it possible I poured it too slowly and it all burned before it could clean anything?

I also found no difference in oil condition from that of previous oil changes. I have had the car since it had 44k miles on it and I have always used RP Oil and Filters. Is it possible that my engine is that clean that there was nothing to clean out?

Would there be any downside to trying again(other than possibly wasting $8)? If I skip the crankcase and just do the vacuum tube part then I dont have to change the oil, correct?

Thank you

If you didn't get a good amount of smoke I would have to say something didn't work as it should of, That stuff will smoke on a new engine.

While it is possible that the engine was clean, my money would be on pouring through to slowley......

I got very little smoke when I did mine also, I was expecting a big smoke plume like I saw on the videos on youtube.

I then tried it on the old work van just to make sure I did it right.
This van is a 89 GMC conversion van thet we use to haul stuff and it gets allot of abuse.
It smoked so bad that we could not see 3 feet away because of all the smoke.

Same thing happened to mine. It just wasn't dirty in there. I tried it on my DD and it smoked bad!

my car is almost identical to yours in age and mileage. I had the same experience with seafoam. I am pretty sure I did something wrong and will do it again next spring.

Yes, I know, we hear that all the time when this comes up, but this is not Slick50 or zmax.

Many many people who know a lot more than me about cars and who have been doing this a long time do recommend the SeaFoam thing if its indicated. Do a search, might change your opinion.

If you always use premium fuel, and/or techron it once in a while and you are lucky enough to have zero carbon buildup, then yeah, it would be a waste.

But you cant be saying that no c5 has any carbon build up?

I always use top tier fuel, and I techron once in a while but when I took my car for a street tune (ECS) they told me it probably has some carbon build up. I bought it used so no telling what the previous owner put in it.

Im waiting for my oil change to do the SeaFoam, plugs and wires.

OP: if you are just adding it through the vacuum line, the manufacturer doesnt say you have to change the oil.

Some cars get deposits, if you have them you probably should do something about it (not that its gonna kill anything) but why not?
