Looking at buying my first Corvette and have a couple questions. Looking at a 2000 Coupe with a LS1 engine and auto. The car has 23,000 miles. The car is at a chevy dealer. When I went to look the car the salesman opened the hood and I noticed that it had a new battery. Closed the hood and went to start it and it was dead. Had to jump start it. The salesman said that it was normal for a Corvette to run the battery down if it set for very long. Do you guys agree?
When I test drove the car when I made a very sharp turn left or right it made like a bump, bump, bump noise in perfect time. I told the sales person about the noise and he then drove the car with me. He said that the noise was normal and was caused by the limited slip rear end. The Corvette turn a lot sharper than say a pickup with limited slip and that is why you can not hear it in a pickup. Do you guys agree?
The tires on the car need relaced and I did not notice any flat spots on the front like they had been skipping

The battery issue is normal if the car sits for a few weeks.
As for the rear, That is not normal at all, I have a 2002 A4 with 41,000 miles and it has never made any bump noises......
What is the asking price?
Be aware that run flat tires can cost you 1200-1500 bucks for 4 installed.
