I looked and listeed for 3 months. I just completed the installation of Corsa pace car with pro tips catback system. I love it looks tuff on the car and the sound is great. My 2001 A4 is stock and after these pipes it feels like it it has woke up from the dead. Definete HP GAIN ! The sound is perfect to me at idle nice rumble, when you drive normal it is almost like stock, push the gas and the sound is that of pure muscle, WOT nice roar. cruise at 75 mph as quiet as stock. For me perfect exhaust. Buy the from Chip at CCA.
Thank Mark,
You are a most gracious customer. I'm glad you got them on and

I just put the GHL Bullets on, after having Corsa Pace cars for two years. I like the Bullets much better. They have a deeper, more muscle car sound and are a little louder (my opinion, about 15% over the Pace cars). I hoped they would be even louder, so I am a little disappointed in that, but the sound is great. Quality is excellant ( muffler shop installer said they are the best he has seen and has installed just about every system available!) and service from Chip was also great. I like them best of all I have heard so far, but just to be honest, they are not as loud as I expected (totally stock engine). Depends on what you are looking for. Quality: 10 out of 10, sound: 9.5 out of 10, volumn: 8 out of 10, (to me). There is no bad interior noise with them at all. I highly recommend them as long as you know what loudness you want. JMHO.

I know that I already responded to this thread a day or two ago. I recommended the GHL Bullet system that I sell. That said - I have the Corsa Pace Car system on both of my C5's.
On my Pace Car - I have the Pace Car exhaust with the X-pipe. It is totally silent cruising in top gear, it has a low rumble at idle and makes it's presence known at WOT. My black car has the same system, with the difference being LT Headers. Same system otherwise - TOTALLY different sound. The black car has a much deeper sound at idle, and it is probably 30% louder running through the gears, and at least 50% louder at WOT! At cruise, though - really quiet, though not completely silent.
Bottom line, the basic Corsa system is not loud, and without an X-pipe sounds like a motorboat. X-pipe makes it sound much smoother and better.
Based on your requirements in the original post - I would think either the Corsa with LT headers or the GHL system will give you what you want.
Thanks for the replys so far. At least now I have a starting point. That being said, as I get older I seem to want to tone down the exhaust LOL. 61, had str pipes; 64, cherry bombs; 84 monzatips, gutted cat; 99 still wondering. See what AARP does to you so you young guys enjoy LOL
After reading this,,you MAY want to check out the Corsa Touring!! They are SLIGHTLY toned down from the Pace car,,but still have a pretty good howl at WOT,,but virtually silent on the highway. When I first put them on,,the loudest noise in the car was the Goodyear run flat tires!! These SHOULD have been what the factory put on to begin with!! X-pipe recommended,,,but they DO make a nice rumble and crackle when you decelerate with the stock H-pipe!!I too am an old gear head,,STILL love driving a stick,,and can still do it. 13.08/110.24 with a .012 reaction time!! Think about the TOURING you just might lik them!!
Looks like Corsa is leading the pack, would like to hear the LG's on a car though. Well I have until spring to decide, NY is getting ready for that white stuff. Maybe I'll be able to pick up a used set and use the extra cash for some more goodies. Thanks guys for the input
I have Corsa Pace Car Tigershark setup and think it's actually pretty quiet at cruise. It's a little louder then stock at WOT. Of course that will "change" with headers, cam and a tune!
Good to hear. I just won a $750 shopping spree with West Coast Corvettes on "the other" forum and used that plus some cash to order the Corsa Pacecar with Tigershark tips.
i have a bypass modded z06 ti exhaust with a corsa x-pipe. its kinda quiet at low rpms but it really comes alive once you give it some gas. it has an exotic sound to it that i have not heard in any other exhausts.

Enjoy! Let us know what you think once you have them on for a few days!
How are the GHL Bullets at cruising speed? Is there a lot of interior noise??
Once the exhaust is really broken in there is a bit of drone during highway cruising. It doesn't bother me, but it is definitely not as quiet as the stock z06 mufflers were.
Just checked the NXT system, the sound bites sound good. Your right the price is about half. Another thing to think about. You say no drone at cruise. It does sound good when they get on it.
Ok what I'm looking for is a cat back system that gives a nice rumble when pulling away. Also maybe a little aggresive with the peddle down. But what I don't what is a lot of noise at cruise speeds, 55-80. Had a C4 with monza tips that wasn't to bad. I know about borla, corsa but don't know which one (model)would work. there have been some magna flows on ebay and a couple of other brands that aren't mentioned here to much. Don't want a BB or loud mouth, so I'm open to suggestions.
Don't go with the magnaflo # 15763. That system was on my vette when I purchased it and it's too loud, but what's worse is the drone. Hope this helps. Good luck.
