Chrome C5 Logo Emblems
Does anyone still sell the Chrome C5 Logo bumper emblems?
Not the "painted" chrome, but the chrome with the plastic flag inserts similar to stock emblems?

Those are nice!
I know the OEM front emblem is mounted on with plugs, however what about the back hatch/trunk emblem? Is that stuck on?

I recently purchased a set. They look really good and the quality is great except I had one problem. As you know the front bumper cover where the emblem goes, is not 100% flat. The chrome emblem has no curveature built into it. After removing the old emblem, I carefully installed the new chrome emblem and one side of it would not stick completely due to the curvature of the bumper. I done every thing I could think of to make it stick even to the point of putting a weight on it and leaving it set overnight weighted down. The side in question, still popped back up about one eight on an inch. It looked good but was not perfect so I removed it and put the original oem one back on. I shill have the chrome one on the back, but am debating on taking it off because I really don't like the idea of chrome on the back and the black oem one on the front.

You might look at Ecklers or Mid-America. At one time they sold the chrome emblems.

check out this thread on how to bend the front ones in a vice, that way you don't have to remove your shiny new chrome ones.

JDM Vette...Thanks for the info. I have already removed the front chrome one and put the OEM one back in place. We have a sign shop near where I live and they took my old OEM one and replaced the backing with some type of 3m tape and it worked as good as new. They only charged me five bucks to replace the tape. Maybe I will have them also replace the tape on the chrome one and I will try to put it in a vice and bend it a little. Thanks for the advice...

Received the Chrome Emblems - the one on the back looks awesome!
The one for the front of course does not fit the contours (knew this going in) but I tried the vice-bending method described. Looks like the metal did make the slight bend without affecting the chrome (so far), but one of the flag inserts did not survive the pressure - started to separate from the metal backing overnight - bummer! Plus the front bumper also curves vertically (compound curve) and nothing could be done to fix that without re-casting. It is a shame these were not made separately as they look really nice.

Great... I have a set coming in from her. I wonder if I could place it on a soft surface and roll a 1.5" or 2" pipe over em with extreme prejudice and then try to bend them in the flag tip to flag tip arc???

^ a year and a half later, my front flags are still holding fine without bending.

I doubt it - they are VERY thick and heavy. That is similar to what I did - I put mine in a vice and used a rounded ratchet extension on the back side and soft plastic blocks on the front, but the pressure still trashed the rubberized plastic insert on one side. If I could get just the inserts, I could probably do the bending and put new inserts in, but even then I could not do the vertical curve - the flag poles would just have to stick up and not look quite right.
