Mine squeaks occasionally so I thought it might be worth a shot but is it me or is this difficult to interpret. Where on earth does the tape fit? Is it along the inside of the tonneau lip?
My guess is in the curved area that shows up as a double line, but it's certainly not clear.
Does yours squeak?
My 04 does not, but It's always nice to know something like this for the future.
Come to think of it, that curved area doesn't really come in contact with anything except the waterfall and areas of the stops. I'll have to look closely soon.

Apply the tape on the Tonneau cover where each "spot" meets the 2 left and right rubber stops which by the way are threaded to adjust for height thereby creating a better meeting point to the 2 left and right spots on the Tonneau cover.
